Francisco García Hernández

With a design career that dates back to 2006, Francisco is now the CEO and Co-founder of Pixel Research Lab. An experienced senior designer with a tracked history of working in the design industry for companies such as RAPP, Ogilvy, and eDreams ODIGEO. He is skilled in user experience, user interface design, user-centric research, and product testing.

During his career, he also embarked on projects as an independent contractor for seven years, working with startups, musicians, interior designers, filmmakers, agencies, production houses, artists and other types of businesses. Collaborating on a wide range of projects that vary from corporate and brand websites to e-commerce platforms and mobile applications.

Francisco graduated from Istituto Europeo di Design Barcelona (IED) in Art Direction, being awarded an academic scholarship and the 2012 Academic Board Visual Communication Thesis Award. In 2017, Francisco enrolled on the Interaction Design Specialization from University of California San Diego (UCSD) Recognized as one of the top 15 research universities worldwide, its culture of collaboration sparks discoveries that advance society and drive economic impact.

As a fruit of this latest academic endeavour, he has been invited by the Coursera Community to become a Mentor to the students of the Research & Prototyping Course. Lastly, to start 2019, Francisco received the official certification from AJ&Smart GmbH as a Design Sprint Facilitator, a process created by Jake Knapp in Google Ventures, to help companies answer critical business questions through design, prototyping, and testing ideas with customers.
